MERSİN - Peace Mothers, reacting to Turkey's attacks on North and East Syria, said: "If the war stops, this crisis in Turkey will end. We don't want any more bloodshed."
The attacks launched by Turkey and its affiliated Syrian National Army (SNA) against North and East Syria with the attacks that resulted in regime change in Syria continue. Protests and reactions against the attacks also continue. Peace Mothers in Mersin stated that attacks will not be a solution and that the solution to the problem is peace.
WE WILL STAND BY KOBANÊ
"We will be with Rojava until the last drop of our blood," said Raziye Söner from Peace Mothers and added: "We do not want to be the cause of the blood spilt in this war, we have always wanted peace. That is why we want our leader be released. We want his lawyers to meet him and we want to get information from him. I condemn the wars, these wars must be removed from our children. We will stand by Rojava and Kobanê no matter what."
'WHOEVER WANTS PEACE, OUR LEADER IS THERE'
Tenzile Baydar said that Kurdish mothers do not give up on peace despite the suffering they have experienced, "All Kurds should join hands and stop this war. As long as they slaughter, we continue to defend peace. From here to Iraq, from Iraq to Damascus, Kurds in the four parts of Kurdistan should join hands and protect each other. After 2 journalists were massacred, everyone who calls themselves 'Kurdish' should not stay at home. We must do whatever we can and not give the state this opportunity. Today, if anyone wants peace, our Leader is ready. Our leader has been calling for peace and brotherhood for years. If they want peace, our Leader is ready, they should visit him and talk to him. We will surely win, Peace Mothers will win," she said.
'UNTIL WHEN WILL THEY FIGHT THE KURDS'
Zeynep Arslan said that one of the reasons for the economic crisis in Turkey is the war Turkey is waging against the Kurds and added: "We all know that this poverty and economic crisis is because of the war. If the war stops, this crisis in Turkey will end. We don't want bloodshed anymore. Civilians and journalists are being killed in this war. How long will they fight the Kurds? We will stand against the war as much as we can. Those who do not get up from their seats have the children of the nation killed on the battlefields. As mothers, we do not accept this."
