People of Batman: We must raise our voice against chemical weapons

BATMAN - The people of Batman, who condemned the silence against the chemical weapons used in the Iraqi Federated Kurdistan Region and condemned this situation, said: "It is considered normal when a weapon that is banned in the world is used against the Kurds."
 
Citizens who attended the rally held by the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) in Batman with the slogan "No to war and poverty" on Sunday, December 25, reacted to Turkey's use of chemical weapons against the guerrillas in the Iraqi Federated Kurdistan Region.
 
‘WHY ARE PEOPLE SILENT?’
 
Stating that when weapons that are banned in the world are used on Kurds, no one makes a sound, and reminded that chemical weapons harm not only people but also nature and all other living things, Nefise Takun said: "People should not remain silent against this inhumane situation. Why do people close their eyes and ears against this situation? Why do people remain silent against this war, these massacres? The Kurdish people should increase their struggle against these massacres. Our children die, we stay at home, our children die, we close our ears, we close our eyes. I condemn those who remain silent against this massacre. I bow respectfully before the struggle of those who fight for freedom for their own lands."
 
'WE DON'T WANT CHEMICALS WEAPONS'
 
Stating that those who use chemical weapons commit crimes against humanity, Fesih Kaya said: "We do not want chemical weapons to be used not only in Kurdistan but anywhere in the world. The use of chemical weapons is a crime against humanity. In the face of this situation, not only the Kurdish people, but all peoples should have a voice. The world should stand against this situation and prevent the use of chemical weapons. Chemical weapons are both immoral. Not all people should accept the use of chemical weapons."
 
'WE SHOULD UNITE'
 
Emphasizing that chemical weapons are war crimes, Seyit Bilal Evren especially condemned the Barzani family's cooperation with Turkey. Evren continued: “Barzani does not take a stand for the rights of the Kurdish people. It is time for Barzani to reflect and shake himself off. The Kurdish people must respond to these attacks in unity and solidarity. When the Kurds are united, no state can stand against them.”
 
'OUR CHILDREN ARE DYING'
 
Stating that those who sell chemical weapons think of their own profits, and that Turkey, which buys them, uses them against the Kurds, Asya Üzüm said: “We do not want the use of chemical weapons. Our children are dying. The Kurds must unite against these attacks. If unity is not achieved, the result will be bad for all of us."
 
'WAR CRIMES ARE COMMITTED'
 
Pointing out that chemical weapons are frequently used, Murat Karaman said: “A war has been started against the Kurds for years. War crimes are committed. We do not want the use of chemical weapons. The weapon, which is banned all over the world, is unfortunately used when it comes to Kurdistan. It is considered normal when used in Kurdistan and against the Kurds.
