You make your protests and applications,  I do the blocking. If you do, you will be guilty, if I do it, it is my duty." When a villager asked Arat what is the meaning of uprooting the trees, Arat told them that the company purchased the area and that there is nothing they could do.The villagers stated that the uprooting of plum trees was a preparation for the EIA process and said they would not accept any work to be done in the field.

One of the women speaking to Arat said: " We will lie in front of the digger, we will not let it plunk trees even if it rides over us." After the discussions, Deputy Governor Arat left the tent after promising that no work would be carried out on the field until the EIA report was released.
