The resistance watch against the appointment of a trustee to the municipality in the Xelfetî (Halfeti) district of Riha (Urfa) continues for 17th day. People started to gather in front of the blockaded municipality building in the early hours of the morning. 

 

The watch was attended by Xelfetî co-mayors Mehmet Karayılan and Saniye Bayram, brother of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan Mehmet Öcalan, Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Riha MP Ferit Şenyaşar and many others. On November 4, when the trustee was appointed, the street in front of the municipality was closed to traffic and citizens with barriers. As the street opens to traffic, barriers have been pulled up to the municipality building gate.
