ŞIRNEX - Mir Abdaliye Medrese in Cizîr has been abandoned to its fate for 2 years.
The historical Mir Abdaliye Medrese, located in the Sur District of Cizîr (Cizre) district of Şirnex, was abandoned to its fate. The cracks on the walls of the historical medrese, which was built by Emir Abdullah İbn Abdullah İbn Seyfeddin Botî in 1437, have not been repaired for a long time. The stones of the medrese are falling down one by one due to lack of precautions.
The only safety precaution taken around the dangerous medrese is the danger safety warning tape around it. At the entrance door of the medrese, there is a sign warning "Closed due to malfunction".
The medrese is located right next to the Mem û Zîn Tomb, one of the symbols of Cizîr. Thousands of people visit the structures here every year.
