RIHA - Some materials were stolen from the municipality at midnight in Xelfetî, where DEM Party came first despite mobile voters and illegal voting.

In Xelfetî (Halfeti), People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) came first in the elections despite the illegal voting of 2,500 voters and the AKP candidate, co-mayors Saniye Bayram and Mehmet Karayılan will receive their certificates of election at 16.00 pm today.

It was reflected in the mobile phone camera footage that some documents and materials were stolen from the municipality under the AKP administration before the certificate of election ceremony.

DEM Party Riha Deputy Omer Ocalan shared the images in question on his X virtual media account. Ocalan shared the images with the following statement: "Trustee mentality is stealing in Halfeti Municipality at these hours. Our people of Halfeti must be common sense. The images are available. We will file a criminal complaint against those who steal people's property and people's rations."

In the footage, it is seen that some documents and materials are carried by 4-5 people to a truck approaching the municipality building in the dark of the night.

Quoting the images in question, hundreds of X virtual account users tagged former mayor and AKP candidate Seref Albayrak, who was appointed as a trustee to the municipality in 2016, and gave the message that he would be held accountable before the judiciary.

DEM Party municipal co-mayors and municipal council members went to the municipality service building after what happened and discovered that computers, electronic equipment and folders, which were thought to be registered in the municipal inventory, were loaded onto civilian vehicles and smuggled. It was determined by the party members that all the equipment that constitutes the memory of the municipality, including the security camera system, were stolen. It was learned that the party members, made a detailed examination after receiving their certificate of election, kept a report on the stolen equipment, and those who were thought to be involved in the theft, including former trustee AKP member Seref Albayrak, would file a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office.

WHAT HAPPENED?

In the elections held on March 31, Albayrak and a group of 50 people traveling with him tried to lynch DEM Party Riha Deputy Omer Ocalan, who stood against the mass voting process, camera footage of which was revealed.

Despite illegal voting and mobile voters, DEM Party became the first party with a difference of 906 votes. AKP appealed to the District Election Board, citing illegal voting, but it was rejected.

The objection of the AKP, who took the objection to the Provincial Election Board, was accepted, but the Supreme Election Board (YSK) annulled the decision and decided to give the certificate of election to the DEM Party co-mayors. Co-mayors will receive their certificate of election today at 16.00 pm.
