Tens of thousands in Wan resist against usurpation of will

WAN - Tens of thousands of people who turned every street into a resistance area against the government's usurpation of will in Wan gave the message that they will continue their protests until the decision is abandoned.
 
 
Reactions to Abdullah Zeydan, who was elected Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor from the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) in Wan, not being given his certificate of election continue today. The shutters were not opened in the city. Marches started from 7 points of the city in the morning. Thousands of people frequently chanted slogans such as "Abdullah Zeydan is our honor".
 
In some places, police attacked the crowd. Citizens then started building barricades. Some of the citizens managed to enter the blockaded Cumhuriyet Street after the resistance. The police attacked the crowd with gas bombs and pressurized water throughout the day. However, this could not break the resistance of the masses. The resistance soon spread to all neighborhoods and streets of the city.

Among those who came in front of Perihan Shopping Mall in the city, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-Chair Keskin Bayındır, DEM Party Co-Chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan, Wan Municipality Co-Mayors Neslihan Şedal and Abdullah Zeydan, politicians Leyla Zana, Başak Demirtaş, CHP deputy Sezgin Tanrıkulu and CHP delegation, SYKP Co-Chair Mertcan Titiz, EHP President Hakan Oztürk, TIP President Erkan Baş, walked towards Feqiyê Teyran Park to make a statement.
 
A mass statement was made after the march. During the statement, slogans such as "Abdullah Zeydan is our honor", "We will win by resisting", "Right, law, justice" were frequently chanted.
