Visits to the action led by Mothers for Peace continued today. ISTANBUL

The action led by the Marmara Assistance and Solidarity Association with Prisoner and Convict Families (MATUHAY-DER) is on its 33rd day. During the action at the building of the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) in Sancaktepe, Istanbul, the relatives of the prisoners wore aprons with the words "Isolation is a crime against humanity" written in Kurdish and Turkish. Many people from the DEM Party Çekmeköy District Organization management and the Anatolian Assistance and Solidarity Association with Families Who Lost Their Relatives (ANYAKAY-DER) also participated in the action, where the slogan "Bijî berxwedana zindanan" was frequently chanted.

ANYAKAY-DER Central Executive Board (MYK) member Hüseyin Avras reminded that hundreds of prisoners went on hunger strike for the physical freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Avras said: “Prisoners went on a hunger strike in prisons for Leader of The Kurds, Abdullah Öcalan. Dialogues with Mr. Öcalan, who represents hundreds of thousands of Kurds, have been interrupted. We are faced with an understanding that has no place in any morality."
Avras emphasized that they will continue to fight for their demands.
