An investigation was opened regarding the 1st Ordinary Congress of the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Youth Council. Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced the investigation on his social media account.

 

Tunç stated that an investigation was launched on allegations of "praising crime and criminals" and "making propaganda for a terrorist organization". Tunç said: "The Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has initiated the necessary judicial investigation against the suspects and detention instructions have been given."
