NEWS CENTRE - The "National Dialogue Congress" held by the interim administration in Damascus started under the shadow of criticism and boycott by many circles. In its statement on the congress, the Future Syria Party emphasised that many segments were excluded.

The "National Dialogue Congress" held by the interim administration in Damascus started. According to the statement made by the congress organising committee, the congress, where the future of the country will be discussed, will last for 6 hours. While many parties opposing the former regime in Syria criticised the congress, many segments of Syrian society and influential Syrian forces boycotted the congress.

The Future Syria Party made a statement on the congress, stating that the congress was held with the exclusion of many parts of Syria. The Future Syria Party condemned the "Syrian National Dialogue Congress" held today, stating that the congress should be held in a transparent manner with broad participation and an atmosphere of trust.

A statement on the issue was made in front of the party building in Raqqa Canton with the participation of party Co-chair Abdul Hamid Al-Mahbash and party executives.

The statement reads: "At a time when the Syrian people are going through a critical phase in their history and aspire to build a better future based on justice, equality, and peace after the fall of the former regime in Syria, the Future Syria Party deeply regrets the manner in which the Syrian National Dialogue Conference has been organized by the appointed committee. This approach does not meet the aspirations of the Syrian people and does not ensure true representation of all its segments, sects, and components, despite our firm belief in the importance of dialogue as a fundamental tool for resolving the crisis.

We observe a lack of genuine inclusivity, as many key actors representing broad segments of Syrian society, particularly political parties and movements, have been excluded. Moreover, the appointed committee has not presented a clear and transparent mechanism for engaging with citizens or considering their ideas and proposals. This raises concerns and further marginalizes the voice of the Syrian people in the decision-making process and the building of a new Syria and its future.

The party stresses the need to invite all political and representative groups from Syria’s diverse components, whether political, social, or cultural, to ensure genuine representation that reflects the Syrian reality in the National Dialogue Conference. It also emphasizes adherence to the principles of transparency and credibility and the rejection of the exclusion of any Syrian party under any pretext.

The Future Syria Party firmly believes that a genuine national dialogue, founded on transparency, credibility, and broad participation, is the only way to achieve justice and reconciliation in Syria.

Therefore, we reaffirm the urgent need to work diligently toward holding an inclusive conference that brings together all segments of the Syrian people and contributes to building the future of Syria. This inclusivity is absent in today’s conference in Damascus, which claims to represent the Syrian people, people who have made great sacrifices for the success of their revolution. Syria belongs to all Syrians, without exclusion or marginalization of anyone."
