MERSİN - On the 12th day of the vigil against the usurpation of will in front of Akdeniz Municipality, a call was made to increase the struggle against the trustee.
The vigil against the appointment of a trustee to the Akdeniz Municipality in Mersin continues on its 12th day.
Speaking first at the vigil, Akdeniz Municipality Council Member Aydın Kılıç explained the services they have provided since the first day they took office.
Zeynep Aslan, Peace Mother, took the floor after Kılıç and condemned the appointment of trustees and stated that they would fight against the usurpation of will.
DEM Party Mersin MP Ali Bozan said that they have been struggling against the usurpation of will for 12 days and labelled the trustee as a "thief". Reacting to the police blockade in the municipality, Bozan pointed out that the municipality was closed to the people with the trustee and that the municipality did not produce services and said, "The municipality is under occupation".
Bozan pointed to the grounds for the co-mayors' arrest and described this investigation as a "conspiracy file". Stating that the trusteeship has become a regime in this country, Bozan defined the trusteeship as "cruelty and unscrupulousness" and called on all segments to fight against the trustee system together. Drawing attention to the attacks on civilians in Rojava, Bozan saluted the resistance of the Rojava people, stating that the Kurdish people will not accept these attacks, and called on Turkey to give up these attacks.
