Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Co-chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan made an application to the Ministry of Justice on 26 November requesting a meeting with PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç made a new statement regarding the application and said: "We will determine a suitable time."Tunç also said that a decision on the application will be made after the budget negotiations in the General Assembly of the Parliamant are over.
