MERSIN – Reacting to the words of AKP Mayoral candidate Mustafa Gültak, who visited the Friday market in the Mediterranean region, saying "We brought you peace and tranquility", the market tradesmen said: "Where is the peace, bread is 10 liras."
AKP Metropolitan Mayor and Mayoral Candidate Mustafa Gültak visited the Friday Market established in Şevket Sümer and Güneş Neighbourhoods in the Mediterranean region of Mersin, within the scope of the 31 March local election activities. Gültak encountered intense public reaction during these visits.
It was noteworthy that he said to a shopkeeper who reacted to him during a stall visit: "This place was muddy, you were walking by pulling up your skirts." Based on Gültak's words, "We brought you peace" the market tradesmen asked: "Where is the peace? Bread is 10 liras."
INTIMIDATED TRADESMEN WHO REACTED
While Gültak was leaving the stall upon reaction, one of the team members who was wandering around the market with Gültak said to the shopkeeper: "Look at me, a mayor has come here, you need to speak with good manners!"
