ANKARA - Emine Şenyaşar, who took a break from the Justice Watch because she had surgery, stated that she will continue her protest if her arrested son is not released at the hearing on October 6.
Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered by the bodyguards and relatives of former AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in Riha's Pirsûs (Suruç) district on June 14, 2018, started a Justice Watch in front of the Urfa Courthouse on March 9, 2021. Emine Şenyaşar and her son, Green Left Party MP Ferit Şenyaşar, brought the Justice Watch to the Ministry of Justice on its 846th day. Mother Şenyaşar, who has many health problems, had to take a break from the protest in front of the Ministry on the 49th day to have surgery on her knees.
EMİNE ŞENYAŞAR: I WILL CONTINUE THE SIT-IN
Mother Şenyaşar, who came out of the surgery, said that she would continue the sit-in after she recovered. Mother Şenyaşar, who needed urgent surgery due to health problems, postponed the surgery for a long time and continued her sit-in to end the injustice. Şenyaşar said: “I have been waiting for my arrested son to be released for years. I was considering having surgery after she was released; however, we did not get positive results and my pain increased and I had to have surgery. They murdered my whole family. When I went into surgery, only my son Ferit was with me. We want nothing but justice to be served, I will continue sit-in."
