İdris Baluken released from prison

ANKARA - HDP former Amed MP İdris Baluken has been released from prison after completing his execution.
 
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) former Amed(Diyarbakır) MP İdris Baluken was released from prison after completing his execution. Baluken, who was detained and arrested on November 4, 2016 while he was HDP Group Deputy Chairperson, was tried in Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court and sentenced to 9 years and 2 months in prison. Baluken was released from prison after the verdict of release given at the hearing held on January 30, 2017. However, upon the objection of Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Baluken was arrested again on February 21, 2017, 22 days later, and sent to prison.
 
Baluken, who completed the execution of his sentence, was released from Sincan Prison after 6 years, 5 months and 1 day.
