ANKARA - Stating that all peoples were harmed by the war, HDP MP Imam Taşçıer said: "If Mr. Öcalan is given an opportunity, the war in the Middle East will end."
The Justice Watch, initiated by the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) MPs demanding that PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan meet with his lawyers, continued on its 9th day. The march towards the Ministry of Justice of HDP MPs Tülay Hatimoğulları, İmam Taşçıer, Abdullah Koç, Erdal Aydemir, Ayşe Sürücü, Hüseyin Kaçmaz, Şevin Coşkun and Nusrettin Maçin, who came together at the Parlimant Dikmen Gate, was blocked by the police.
Speaking in the statement made here on the blocking, HDP Amed MP İmam Taşçıer said: “There is also isolation on the MPs who want to make a press statement at the moment. The isolation is spread to all over Turkey."
'IF ÖCALAN IS GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY, THE WAR IN THE MIDDLE EAST WILL END'
Stating that the Kurdish problem is at the root of the lawlessness and injustice in the country, Taşçıer said: “Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years and was exposed to these isolations. Then where did Nelson Mandela come, he became the president of the country where he was imprisoned, he ruled that country. For the first time, a black ruler came to the head of that country. Then he received the Nobel Peace Prize, hundreds of awards. Today, if Mr. Öcalan is given the opportunity, the war in the Middle East will end, and Syria will not be fought. It is no longer allowed to enter the territory of Southern Kurdistan. You can't come to the brink of war with Greece because this war puts Turkey in a deadlock both economically and politically. The 'price of a bullet' was announced by AKP MPs at the Parliament the other day, one of the F-16 missiles is 1.2 million dollars. The bullets fired by the tanks cost 5 thousand dollars each. Imagine millions of dollars being spent on war. In this war, the Kurds, in this war, the Turks, in this war, all the peoples living in Turkey are being harmed."
