ISTANBUL - Founder of Hiranur Foundation Yusuf Ziya Gümüşel, who condoned the rape of his daughter when she was 6 years old, and Kadir Wishli, who "married" his daughter, were arrested.

 

After it was revealed that Yusuf Ziya Gümüşel, the founder of Hiranur Foundation affiliated to İsmailağa Community, allowed his 6-year-old daughter H.K.G. to be raped by marrying him to his "disciple" Kadir İstekli, upon the objection of H.K.G.'s lawyers, an arrest warrant was issued for İstekli and Gümüşeli. An arrest warrant was issued by the Istanbul Anatolian 2nd Heavy Penal Court, İstekli and Gümüşeli were taken into custody."

 

Gümüşel and İsteklii, who were brought to the Gayrettepe Search Branch of the Istanbul Police Department, were transferred to the Anatolian Courthouse. Gümüşel, who was taken to the Istanbul Anatolian 2nd Heavy Penal Court with a request to be arrested after his statements were taken by the Prosecutor's Office, was arrested on the charge of "successive offence sexual abuse of the child" and "sexual assault".

 

OPINION OF THE JUDGE

 

It is requested in the indictment prepared by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office that father Yusuf Ziya Gümüşel and mother Fatima Gümüşel be sentenced to 22 years and 6 months in prison for "successive offence sexual abuse of the child". A prison sentence of up to 67 years, 10 months and 15 days is demanded for Kadir İstekli, to whom H.K.G was "married", on charges of "successive offence sexual abuse of a child" and "sexual assault".

 

Accepting the indictment, Anadolu 2nd Heavy Penal Court set the hearing date to May 22, 2023. After the public reaction, the court took a step back and set the hearing date as January 30, 2023.
