NEWS CENTER - The Swedish Left Party launched a campaign with the slogan "raise your voice" to draw attention to Turkey's chemical attacks.
Condemnation of chemical weapons attacks against HPG members continues in Turkey's Federated Kurdistan Region. The Swedish Left Party also launched a campaign on the subject.
Releasing a video about the campaign, Left Party Upsala spokesperson Ylva Larsdotter said: "We want to draw your attention with this film. There are reports that Turkey has committed war crimes against the Kurds with chemicals. You shoot a video and be heard on social media."
First Deputy Mayor of the City Council Tobias Smedberg said: "The Turkish state has been conducting military invasion operations for 39 years and now we are receiving reports of chemical use. This is a very serious situation and should attract the attention of the world."
Member of Parliament Ilona Szatsmari Waldau said: “Reports must be taken seriously. The use of chemical weapons is a war crime, a crime against humanity and a crime under international law."
Party Board Member Yekbun Alp gave the following message: "The Left Party defends international law and the rights of the Kurdish people. Crimes are committed and forgotten only through silence. Therefore, raise your voice!"
