NEWS CENTER - Stating that KDP is preparing to join Turkey in its attacks and it will have dangerous consequences, HPG told that the Kurdish forces should take responsibility.

The attacks launched by Turkey, in cooperation with the KDP, on the Metîna, Zap and Avaşîn regions of the Federated Kurdistan Region on 17 April continue. Having suffered heavy losses in the attacks, Turkey introduced a new concept when it failed to make any progress. Turkey aims to include the KDP in its attacks with its special forces. Fırat News Agency (ANF) published the statement of HPG Press and Liaison Center that underlines thef act that the KDP is preparing for an attack and told that the Kurdish forces should take responsibility.

KDP IS PREPARING FOR AN ATTACK

In the statement which underlines that KDP is getting ready to be involved in the attacks with its own forces, the following statements were made: "According to the statements made by a KDP official speaking in the capacity of Deputy Peshmerga Minister and the Governor of Duhok, as well as some intelligence information we received, KDP forces are preparing to be involved in this strategic war between us and the Turkish state with its own forces. There is a state of war between our forces and the Turkish state on the northern front of Metina. In the east of Metîna, a much more intense conflict situation continues. If the KDP forces hold the south side of Metina, the siege and destruction plan of the Turkish state on our forces will be completed. Thus, the KDP will also be involved in this attack that is planned to destroy the Kurds. It is clear that this dangerous plan of the KDP towards Metina will mean a declaration of war against us. Because we have forces in important places in Serê Metîna. It can only be captured by armed attacks. This will mean the start of a new process that we do not want at all."

Pointing out that if the KDP's continues to side with Turkey, conflicts will spread, the statement said, "This means taking the support that the KDP has provided to the Turkish state so far to a higher level. This means the realization of the Turkish state's plan to turn the war into an inter-Kurdish war. It should be known that the KDP's involvement in the war to help the Turkish state in this way, will be a declaration of war that will not be limited with Metina."

KURDS SHOULD PREVENT THESE ATTACKS

The statement continued as follows: "In this respect, we call on all intellectuals, artists and patriotic institutions, especially the  political forces from Southern Kurdistan, and all Kurdistani forces to assume responsibility to prevent such an attack. We tried everything in our power not to turn this into an inter-Kurdish conflict. However, it is clear that if our forces in their positions are attacked, our forces will defend themselves. For this reason, we call on all our people and all patriotic forces to assume responsibility to prevent this attack."
