SIRNAK - The people of Uludere, located on the border line of the Federated Kurdistan Region, where AKP-KDP attacks continue, called for the Kurds to rise up against the attacks.
The condemnations to the attacks launched by Turkey on April 17, in cooperation with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) against Zap, Metina and Avaşîn, are growing. Citizens of Şırnak, calling from Uludere district, which has a 56-kilometer border line with the Federated Kurdistan Region, said, “The lands of Kurdistan are not the property of anyone. No one can invade and share these lands for their own interests."
TURKEY'S NEXT STEP WILL BE AGAINST THE KDP
Pointing out that the attacks against the Federated Kurdistan Region were not the first, İrfan Altürk (45) said; "The last war was brought to the point of a brothers fight between the Kurds. Those who have been the enemies of the Kurds for a thousand years are making Kurds kill each other. Turkey is acting together with the KDP to use it for its own interest, not because it supports the interests of the KDP. If Turkey succeeds in its attacks against the Kurds today, the next step will be against the KDP, that is, Southern Kurdistan. Afterwards, it will attack all the gains of the Kurds that they achieved by paying a great price.”
INDIVIDUAL INTERESTS OF THE BARZANI FAMILY
Expressing that the Federated Kurdistan Regional President Nêçîrvan Barzani acts like a tribal leader, Altürk said, “The Barzani family wants to sell Kurdistan for their individual interests. What the KDP doing today is treason. It is a blow to Kurdish unity and solidarity. Kurds have no friends other than themselves. For this, the Kurds must not trust anyone but themselves and must not act in line with anyone else. As long as the Kurds do not unite, all our gains are in danger. When the Kurds are united, everyone will have to accept the status of the Kurds.”
‘THESE LANDS BELONG TO THE KURDISH PEOPLE’
Stating that the policies followed by the KDP in the region are wrong, Altürk said: “They forced thousands of patriotic Kurds to migrate from their own lands. Every day, hundreds of Kurdish youth are forced to migrate to Europe. Why do Kurdish youth have to die on the roads? Who is responsible for this? All of them are leaving because of the economic and political pressures. The Barzani family only works for their own benefit. Kurds in 4 parts of Kurdistan are one. If we win, we all Kurds will win, if we lose, all of us will lose. We must protect the gains achieved by paying the price with the blood of tens of thousands of Kurds over the millennia. The existence of the Kurdish people is more important than hotels or anything else that the Barzanis will buy. The land of Kurdistan does not belong to anyone's father. These lands belong to the Kurdish people. For this reason, no one should leave their own lands. Instead of setting off to Europe, they should protect their own lands and people. The people need to be united against these dirty policies.”
'ALL KURDS MUST RISE AGAINST BETRAYAL OF THE KDP '
Agit Yaman (67), who lived in Iraq and worked as a KDP executive in Baghdad for 5 years, said, "I fought for the Kurds in the Federated Kurdistan Region between 1970-1975 and then returned to Turkey. America, Russia, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Turkey are hostile to the Kurds. The KDP is also involved in this situation because of the Barzanis. All parts of Bashur Kurdistan were taken over by Turkey. Bashur Kurdistan has turned into Turkistan. No Kurds should fall for these tricks of Turkey or any other country. If we Kurds do not become one, we will perish one by one. We must establish unity as soon as possible. The interests of the Kurds are more important than the interests of the Barzanis. All Kurds must rise against the betrayal of the Barzanis. If this is not prevented, there will be great massacres tomorrow.”
SADDAM'S MASSACRE
Reminding Saddam Hussein's attacks and massacres against Kurds, Halil Ölmez (59) said, "Saddam attacked the Kurdish people with his cannons, tanks and helicopters. Thousands of people were forced to migration. Since we are a border village, many people sought refuge in our village. We provided all kinds of help to those people in those difficult times. We took them to our homes, we helped with food and shelter. In our village, each household took a family into their home. We all became one family. We sent the necessary aid for the people who could not cross this side of the border. We helped them build their own homes. We helped because we share a language and identity. Bashur, Bakur, Rojava and Rojhilat Kurds, we are all one. There is a war right next to us. The children of these people are being killed. The Barzanis are also deceived by Turkey and became partners in this war. Turkey is trying to reach the borders of the Ottoman Empire with tricks. Turkey is the enemy of Iraq, Iran and Syria. It is a great mistake for the Barzanis to help them. How can they still help after all that has been done to them? Dozens of Bashur villages were emptied. People were forced into displacement. How can they accept this?"
