Turkey, which launched an attack on Zap, Metîna and Avaşîn regions of the Federated Kurdistan Region on April 23, 2021, did not get the desired result despite the intelligence support of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), the inclusion of Gulan and Zerewanî forces, and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Roj gangs. Turkey which has been shuttling between Ankara and Hewler, launched a wave of extensive attacks against the region in cooperation with the KDP. Unable to progress in the attacks that started with intense air attacks and violent clashes in the areas where the soldiers landed, Turkey tried to get results over the areas under the control of the KDP. Turkey and KDP, which was stuck in spite of all kinds of technical possibilities, started to use chemical weapons in the attacks. 

 

THIRD WORLD WAR

 

Kurdistan Free Society Movement (Tevgera Azadî) Co-chair Mihemed Abdullah evaluated the attacks, which continues with intense clashes in Zap, Metîna and Avaşîn. Abdullah stated that the Middle East is in a deep crisis and chaos and said, “The peoples of the Middle East are going through a deep chaos. The reason for this crisis is the government that is mentally, politically, economically, socially stuck in terms of a solution. Existing systems have resorted to violence, war and terror in order to survive by their very nature. At the present stage, there is a war that we can call the 3rd World War today. This war brings with it poverty, unemployment, destruction of nature and social injustice. And it seems that this war will lead to greater disasters. Now the people of the Middle East have come to a point where they cannot tolerate these crises and disasters. Humanity is now struggling to survive this chaos. People who are struggling to change this order have become the target of powers conspiring against them."

 

THE CENTER OF CONFLICTS

 

Stating that the war in the Middle East is the result of the turmoil produced by the system, Mihemed Abdullah said, “Middle Eastern nations are an organic and inseparable part of this system. With its geo-political and geo-strategic nature in terms of energy resources and cultural richness, it has become the center of conflicts between hegemonies and it is now clear as day that it is not sustainable.

 

PLAN FOR GENOCIDE AND EXTERMINATION

 

Mihemed Abdullah pointed out that the attacks against the region were a "liquidation plan" and said, "They created a kind of chaos in the society. The hegemonic powers of the world and the regional powers represented by parties of the countries of the region started a war against all political, religious and sectarian libertarian movements. This is a plan of genocide and extermination. And if they succeed, it will be the hegemonic forces that will most benefit from it. In these lands where thousands of nations live together, peoples are threatened with extinction. This situation in the Middle East has become the center of Mesopotamian conflicts, including Southern Kurdistan. As in the north and west of Kurdistan, the Kurdish people struggle for survival and self-determination. They forced the war on Iraq and Southern Kurdistan in every way to suppress and destroy the will of the Kurdish people and the freedom movement. Taking advantage of this, they planted the seeds of war in the Middle East again."

 

THE WAR STARTED WITH THE CONSPIRACY AGAINST ÖCALAN

 

Mihemed Abdullah stated that the Kurds are the only people struggling with this system that is plaguing the peoples of the Middle East, and said, “This is why nations and democratic forces are fighting for liberation to get rid of the modern capitalist system. A war was brought once again to renew this system, which came to an end in the Middle East with Kurdistan. This war will be either the rebirth or the collapse of these systems. This war started with a conspiracy against Mr. Öcalan, and when it failed, they chose the freedom movement he created as a target.”

 

'WE HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO SUCCEED'

 

Expressing that the peoples will determine their own future as a result of the struggle of the Kurds, Mihemed Abdullah continued his words as follows: “In the past, they were occupying the Middle Eastern lands as they wished, but now there are Kurds and there are revolutionaries leading this struggle. All Kurds living in the four parts need to support this struggle. From now on, the important thing for the Kurdish people is unity and a common attitude. The south of Kurdistan became the center of the war against the Kurds. We have no choice but to succeed. In this process, the Kurdish people need a coalition of reconciliation, and for this, the Kurdish national conference is necessary and vital. Perhaps this war is an opportunity not to be missed for the Kurds, to break up the ruling systems.”
