NEWS CENTER- The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which denied the statements of AKP's President Erdogan that Turkey is in cooperation with the Iraqi Government in the operation announced that they were not involved in any stage of the plan.
Speaking to the Iraqi media, Iraqi Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Sehaf said, "The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs sees Turkey's military operation as a clear violation of Iraqi territorial integrity. This operation is hurting Iraq and is causing concerns."
Sehaf said that the Iraqi Foreign Ministry summoned Turkey's ambassador to the ministry and a harsh note was given, describing the unilateral operation as hostility.
Sehaf reiterated the demands of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Turkish army to leave Iraqi territory. Sehaf said that the Turkish authorities had not yet responded to the note to the Turkish Ambassador in Baghdad, in which he expressed Iraq's dissatisfaction, and added that they were waiting for Turkey's response.
Sehaf also denied Erdogan's statement that Turkey is in cooperation with the Iraqi Government in the operation.
