NEWS CENTER - Celebrating Newroz day of the peoples, PKK and PAJK prisoners called on the Kurds to participate in the celebrations.

 

Newroz is being celebrated this year with the slogan  “Dem dema serkeftinê ye/ Now is the time to win" in multiple cities. While the celebrations continue, PKK and PAJK prisoners published a statement regarding Newroz. Making a statement on behaşf of the prisoners, Deniz Kaya celebrated the Newroz of the people. Stating that the prisoners will be celebrating Newroz this year with the slogan “Dem dema serkeftinê ye/ Now is the time to win", Kaya said: "We commemorate all Newroz martyrs who brought Newroz, the day of existence and resistance of the Kurdish people, to today with gratitude and respect, in the person of Mazlum Doğan, Zekiye Alkan, Rahşan Demirel, Ronahî and Berîvans."

 

Stating that the prison resistance was fueled by the spark of Newroz, which leads to Serhildans (Uprisings) and that Kurdish people recreate themselves  with new values every year with Newroz, Kaya said: "The great democratic revolution, social revolution, national revolution, cultural revolution, awakening revolution took place in Newroz. Zekiye Alkans, Rahşan, Ronahîs and Berîvans have become the leavens of the patriotism and valor of the new Kurdish social reality. All these facts have made the Kurdish people the people of uprisings and rebirth. The Kurdish people, embellished with rich and beautiful values, have become the invincible people being born with Newroz. By resisting and struggling with the spirit of Newroz for 50 years, the Kurdish people have become the leading people of the 20th century who will make the peoples of the Middle East free and democratic."

 

CALL FOR FREEDOM

 

Stating that they welcome 2022 Newroz with great enthusiasm and hope, Kaya said: "Modern Newroz era which started 50 years ago, brought a lot to the Kurdish people and the people of the Middle East. We call on to the daughters, sons, and youth to participate in the celebrations, flocking to the celebration areas, for the freedom of our leader, bringing freedom and democracy to Turkey and the Middle East."
