SAMSUN – Samsun Bar Association President Kerami Gürbüz resigned from his post to protest the multiple bar system.

 

Samsun Bar President Kerami Gürbüz resigned, protesting the government's attempt to change the electoral system of the bar associations. Gürbüz, who made a statement after leaving a wreath at the Samsun Bar Ataturk Monument, said: "We do not accept this bill. We cannot progress under these conditions. I am resigning from my duty as the President of the Samsun Bar because of what we have been through in the last 15 days."
