Ill prisoner summoned for statement

ERZURUM - Horasan District Security Directorate summoned ill prisoner Necmettin Aydın who has been quarantined 3 times in the last 2 months for a statement.

 
The first hearing of the trial against Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Provincial Organization Director Necmettin Aydın, who was detained on 12 November 2020 on the allegation of "being a member of an illegal organization" in Horasan, Erzurum, was held on 15 January. Aydın was not released despite having a cerebellum herniation and 44 percent invalidity report.
 
Aydın's health condition is getting worse on a daily basis. Aydın, who had a 44 percent invalidity report from Erzurum Regional Training and Research Hospital in 2018, has weakness, pain and numbness in both legs and has difficulty walking.
 
Aydın was also quarantined due to the coronavirus pandemic 3 times during the 67-day period he spent in prison. It was learned that Aydın's is currently under quarantine for the third time and he will be taken back to his ward on Thursday, 21 January.
 
Talking to Aydın on the phone, his family said that he was not given books and hygiene materials during quarantine. The family said that Horasan District Police Department today summoned Aydın to come to the police station to testify.
