Sick prisoner Yılmaz not released because he joined the hunger strikes

MARDİN - Sick prisoner Nizamettin Yılmaz who is being kept in Mardin Prison, will stand trial again tomorrow. In the case where the witness statements were withdrawn, the prosecution who requested Yılmaz's release earlier, now demands sentence fo Yılmaz after he joined the hunger strikes. 
 
 
Azadiya Welat Newspaper employee Nizamettin Yılmaz who was arrested with the accusation of 'being a member to an illegal organization' in Mardin on March 28, 2018, will stand trial for the 6th time tomorrow. Yılmaz who has a cronic lung disease and a suspicion of copd, will be tried at Mardin 3rd High Criminal Court.
 
 
 
The Forensic Medicine Institute (ATK) report will determine if he will still remain under custody.
 
 
Attorney Emin Dursun who briefed about Yılmaz's case, mentioning the constantly changing judges, said: "Although we attended all 5 trials, we never saw the judge.He is jailed pending trial because the temporary judges can not decide on their on account. Attorney Dursun who pointed out that the prosecutor requested his release earlier, said that the fact that his client participated in the hunger strikes, the prosecutor changed his opinion claiming that he is still adoptive to the organisation and now demands him to be sentenced.
 
 
Dursun who stated that they hope to see the judge tomorrow at the trial, emphasized his client's healt situation. Dursun who stated that they are waiting for the ATK report, said he expects Yılmaz to be released after this hearing.
