Güven statement from Kurdish Authors Initiative: Tomorrow may be too late

DİYARBAKIR- Kurdish Authors Initiative who made a statement regarding the hunger strikes initiated by Leyla Güven, said: "Authorities must take a step towards protecting the right to life and health of the hunger strikers. Today, it is not late yet, but tomorrow might be."
 
Kurdish Authors Initiative  made a written statement concerning the expanding hunger strikes initited by Güven with the demand of terminating the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. In the statement where attention was drawn to the fact that Güven's health is detoriorating to a critical point, "As you all know, PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is not able to see his family nor his attorneys or legal guardian since April 2015.  People's Democratic Party Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven have started a hunger strike with the demand of terminating this isolation. She is now in critical condition." was mentioned.
 
In the statement where attention was drawn to the fact that the authorities haven't taken a step yet towards a solution, "The demand of Güven and the political prisoners are not just their demands, but the demand of the society.We expect the government taking steps towards a solution. Their demands must be met.Today it is not yet too late but tomorrow might be. We are ready to assume responsibility regarding the issue."
