İceland former Minister of Interrior and Justice: A private law practiced for Öcalan

ANKARA- Iceland former Minister of Interrior and Justice Ögmundur Jónasson who came to Turkey to visit PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and to observe the prison hunger strikes , said an unlawful private law is practiced on Öcalan.
 
The  International Peace Delegation members who came to Turkey to observe the hunger strikes in site, have sent a letter to the Ministry of Justice to visit Öcalan.
 
Delegation member and Iceland former Interrior and Justice Minister Ögmundur Jónasson, spoke to Mezopotamya Agency about the subject.
 
Ögmundur Jónasson who stated that the hunger strikes are very serious and that they are aware of the situation, said the strikes in question are not personal but a social matter.
 
'WE WANT TO VISIT ÖCALAN'
 
Ögmundur Jónasson who stated that they did not receieve a responce to the letter they sent to the Ministry of Justice regarding their wish to visit Öcalan, said: "We asked about the aggravated isolation on Abdullah Öcalan in our letter. We told them that terminating that isolation is the absolute prior condition to achieve peace."
 
Ögmundur Jónasson also reminded the verdict of Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (AKPM) that states the isolation on Öcalan must be terminated, said: " I want to draw attention to the verdict of AKPM. AKPM verdict must be  applied. We, as the delegation want to visit Öcalan. Because the absolute prior condition to achieve peace is to stop this isolation and meeting the demands."
 
'A SPECIAL LAW IS PRACTICED FOR ÖCALAN'
 
"A special law is practiced on Öcalan. This must be harshly criticed. This violates the international conventions on basic human rights. Öcalan does not pose any danger to those who want peace."
 
Jónasson who stated that is the Minister of Justice accepts to see them they will tell him that they are very worried about the continuing hunger strikes, said: "We will demand the isolation on Öcalan be terminated. We are aware that he is not being visited by anybody for a long time. Our delegation want to visit him in İmralı island. We will ask the minister to help us about this."
