DİYARBAKIR- Former HDP Parliamentarian Çağlar Demirel announced that he and a group of 15 other prisoners have started a hunger strike to support Leyla Güven in Diyarbakır Type E Prison with the demand of lifting the aggravated isolation imposed on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Demirel, who is currently detained in Kocaeli Type F Supermax Prison have sent a message via his attorneys saying: “We are taking over the hunger strike HDP Hakkari Parliamentarian and DTK Co-chair Leyla Güven have started 31 days ago to support her with 15 other politicians for 10 days. Leyla Güven’s demands ar the demands of millions. It is imperative to stop the isolation and take akciton for peace and democracy.We are calling on to all democrats to raise the struggle to stop this crime against humanity and support Leyla Güven.
SECOND GROUP TOOK OVER IN ANTEP
The second group took over the hunger strike that started with 10 people in Antep H Type Closed Prison. According to the information the prisoners gave to their families, the hunger strikes will continue until the isolation on Abdullah Öcalan is terminated.
