İSTANBUL- HDP Ankara's former deputy and İmralı Delegation member Sırrı Süreyya Önder entered the Kocaeli Closed Prison for his three years and six months' imprisonment. Önder said: We stand behind everything we said.

 

 People's Democratic Party (HDP) former Ankara parliamentarian and İmralı Delegation member Sırrı Süreyya Önder went to Kocaeli Closed Prison to serve his 3 years 6 months of prison sentence. Önder was taken under custody on the way to Ankara from İstanbul and brought to Kocaeli Courthouse, then to Kocaeli Type F Closed Prison.

 

Answering the questions of journalists at the exit of the courthouse ,Önder said: "We stand behind everything we said. Salute to all friends. Peace and democracy will win," 

 

After his statement he went into the prison campus.

 

Taking into consideration the period that Önder will spend in prison through legal penal reductions, it is learned that the conditional release date is 19 July 2021 and the actual date of release is 3 June 2022.
