Women journalists visited Güven: We will keep being the voice of Leyla Güven

DİYARBAKIR- Ayşe Güney who spoke for the Mezopotamya Women Journalists PLatform who visited Leyla Güven on the 108th day of her hunger strike, said they will keep being the voice of Leyla Güven.
 
Mezopotamya Women Journalists Platform visited Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HD)( Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven who is on a hunger strike for 108 days with the demand of terminating the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, and they made a press statement in front of the building after the visit.
 
Ayşe Güney who spoke for the Mezopotamya Women Journalists PLatform  said the visit was very meaningful and that they left with their morale increased.
 
Güney who stated that Güven is in a critical condition, said: "She looked weak and weary but very strong and determined at the same time. She emphasized that she will continue until she get results. She called on to the press to be her voice. We, as Mezopotamya Women Journalists Platform, declare again that we will be her voice until the end.Because this hunger strike is the peace guarantee for not only the Kurdish people but also for Turkey and the Middle East. The isolation on Mr. Öcalan is actually practiced on the whole society, firstly women. We want her demand to be met immediately.
 
Güney who stated that hundreds of people are on a hunger strike with the same demand and said: "To turn a bling eye on this strike is to turn a bling eye on the humanity." and called on to the journalists to write about it.
 
Güney said: "We will persue the facts with the determination of Leyla Güven'
 
The women journalists have left the building after the statement is read.
