Abbas Yavari, a prisoner in Iran, killed under torture

NEWS CENTER- Arab citizen Abbas Yavari, who was arrested during the protests in Iran, killed 3 days after he was transferred from Adelabad Prison to an unknown location.

Arab citizen Abbas Yavari, who was arrested in the protests that started in the Tehran Bazaar and spread throughout Iran, was detained in January during the protests in Shiraz. Yavari had to admit that he had killed a Basij due to torture.
 
Yavari was transferred to Adelabad Prison in late February. According to his family, Yavari was transferred to an unknown location on March 26. Prison officials called the family 3 days after the transfer and said that Yavari had committed "suicide".
 
According to the family, Yavari has been subjected to both physical and psychological torture since his arrest in January. HENGAW said in its report that Yavari did not commit suicide, but was killed under the torture.
