Channel 8 reporter abducted in Erbil

NEWS CENTER – Channel 8 has announced that its reporter, Eyûb Wertî, has been abducted by security forces in Erbil. 
 
In a statement, Channel 8 announced that its reporter Eyûb Wertî was abducted by security forces whilst he was collecting information on the environmental impact of the city’s refineries. 
 
It was stated that the reporter’s whereabouts are unknown, and that the group responsible for his abduction is affiliated with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).
