UNICEF and WFP conducted investigations in Kobanê

NEWS CENTER - The UNICEF and WFP delegation visiting Kobanê (Kobani) discussed the situation of forcibly displaced persons with representatives of the institutions. 

A delegation comprising members of the UNICEF and the World Food Programme (WFP) visited Kobanê to conduct investigations. 
 
The delegation met with representatives of water, health, electricity, education, internet and economic institutions, listening to the effects of the siege on the city and the forcibly displaced persons. The representatives asked the delegation to closely monitor the situation and take the necessary measures.
 
After discussing the situation in Kobanê, which has been under siege for days, the delegation inspected schools, kindergartens, bakeries and mosques where forcibly displaced persons are staying.
