NEWS CENTER - Protests in Iran and Rojhilat continue into their 22nd day. According to human rights organisations, at least 3 thousand 120 people have been killed and more than 24 thousand arrested in the regime's crackdown.

Protests in Iran and Rojhilat, which have been ongoing since 28 December 2025, continue to spread despite the regime's harsh interventions. Violence against the people who have taken to the streets against the economic crisis, political oppression and social problems is also increasing.

According to data shared by the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), 24 thousand 622 protesters were detained within 22 days. It was reported that at least 3 thousand 120 people were killed as a result of the regime's attacks, 22 of whom were under the age of 18, and approximately 3 thousand people were injured.

INTERNET CUTS, HOUSE RAIDS

Regime-affiliated media published footage of 132 people being forced to "confess," labelling the protests as "rebellion." Detentions and crackdowns were not limited to the streets, with many people summoned for questioning. While internet and communication lines remained cut in Iran and Rojhilat, it was reported that regime forces raided homes with communication infrastructure.

ROJHILAT CITIES

As heavy military forces were deployed to Rojhilat cities, 24-hour surveillance was conducted on streets and avenues. It was reported that tear gas and various weapons were used to disperse the protests, and that the homes and workplaces of those participating in the protests were marked with special paint.

THREATS FROM THE REGIME

Iran's religious leader Ali Khamenei, in a statement made through state media, targeted the protesters as "troublemakers and foreign supporters". The Tehran Prosecutor's Office denied claims of executions against protesters, announcing that numerous cases had been brought to court.

STATEMENT FROM TRUMP

US President Donald Trump targeted Khamenei over the protests in Iran. Speaking to POLITICO, Trump said, "The man is a sick man who should run his country properly and stop killing people. It’s time to look for new leadership in Iran."
