HESEKÊ - The operation against ISIS members trying to escape from the prison where they are held in Hesekê continues on its 5th day.
The operation launched by the Internal Security Forces after the ISIS attack on the Sinai Prison in Hesekê's Xiwêran District on January 20 continues on its 5th day. In the operation in which 175 ISIS members have been killed so far, most of the cells that came from Serêkaniyê, Girê Spi and Iraq and settled in the Xiwêran Neighborhood have been neutralized. The operation against the cells stuck in the last few places continues. It was learned that many ISIS members surrendered to the Internal Security Forces last night.
The Autonomous Administration Internal Affairs Committee announced yesterday that a comprehensive curfew would be imposed in Hesekê Canton for the security of the region. It was stated that following this decision, a comprehensive operation covering the entire Hesekê region will be launched today.
