The prisoner speaking in Kurdish to the officer in charge deemed inappropriate 2019-09-18 13:51:58 DENİZLİ - Ramazan Çekmen from Denizli Prison was inflicted a disciplinary punishment for speaking to the officer in Kurdish.   Ramazan Çekmen (25) was referred to the discipline committee for speaking to an officer in Kurdish during an open visit with his family on August 7. Çekmen wanted their photograph to be taken and told it to the officer in Kurdish. When the officer told him to speak in Turkish, Çekmen responded that if he is so curious about what he said, he should sign up to a Kurdish language course.     Çekmen was accused of being inappropriate and sarcastic toward an officer in charge and referred to the disciplinary committee where he was punished with 3 months ban from some activities and deprivation of employement for a month.
