5 journalists still detained in Mardin

	MARDİN - 5 journalists who were detained in Mardin following the protests of yesterday's 'trustee' protests are still under custody. It was learned that the prosecutor's office extended the inquiry. 

	Our reporters Ahmet Kanbal and Mehmet Şah Oruç, Jinnews reporter Rojda Aydın, journalists Nurcan Yalçın and Halime Parlak are still being held at TEM Branch of the Provincial Security Directorate after being taken into custody following up the protests yesterday in front of the Mardin Metropolitan Municipality. Attorneys informed that their process have not been finalized yet and their detention period can be extended. 

	 

	It was learned that the prosecutor's office expanded the investigation about the 5 journalists and requested that information be collected through journalistic activities in the past.

	 

	Journalists who met with their attorneys yesterday told that strip search was imposed on them and that they were detained because the government doesn't want to protests to reflect to the public.
