	Emin Bilmez, the trustee appointed to the office of elected Van Metropolitan Municipality Co-mayor Bedia Özgökçe, announced that the city council is annuled with a note. Trustee Bilmez stated that the authority of the council will be given to the municipal board from now on.

	In the city council with a total of 71 members, the HDP was represented by 44 members and the AKP by 27 members. The trustee appointed in 2016 also dissolved the city council and carried out the works of the council with the committees of the officers of their choice.
