Police violence against MP's and lawyers

	İSTANBUL -  Police intervened to the lawyers who wanted to make a press statement in front of Çağlayan Courthouse.  During the intervention, deputies and several lawyers were beaten.

	 

	 

	The lawyers who wanted to make a press statement in front of the Çağlayan Courthouse regarding the trustee appointed to Diyarbakır, Van and Mardin Metropolitan Municipality. Many lawyers and MP's were assaulted during the police intervention. Humans Rights Association (İHD) Co-chair Eren Keskin, People's Democratic Party (HDP) MP's Züleyha Gülüm, Musa Piroğlu, Filiz Kerestecioğlu, Ahmet Şık and Oya Ersoy participated in the event.

	 

	The police who prevented the group from making a statement despite Ahmet Şık's speech to persuade them, banished the group, battering them. Ahmet Şık was hurt as a result of the police intervention.
