In the case of Özgür Gündem, Fincancı, Önderoğlu and Nesin were acquitted 2019-07-17 20:54:54   İSTANBUL - In the case for the Editor in Chief on Duty Campaign launched in solidarity with Özgür Gündem which was closed down with a decree of law in which Şebnem Korur Fincancı, Erol Önderoğlu and Ahmet Nesin were being tried, all parties were acquitted.   The hearing of Human Rights Foundation of Turkey (TIHV) Chairperson Prof. Dr. Sebnem Korur Fincancı,  Reporters Without Borders (RSF) Turkey Representative  Erol Önderoğlu and journalist-author Ahmet Nesin who were on trial with the charge of 'terror propaganda' for participating in the campaign for Özgür Gündem that was closed down with a law decree was held in İstanbul 13th High Criminal Court. HDP MP's Ahmet Şık, journalists Şanar Yurdatapan, Academics for Peace, Norway PEN, IPI, EU Delegation, Article 19, RSF and Britain Embassy attended the hearing for support.   Court Board decided that the crime did not occur and acquitted all parties.
