Ankara police rejects giving the security footage of the offenders to the prosecutor 2019-06-27 14:27:00   ANKARA - A shocking detail turned out regarding the investigation about the attack on the symbolic monument made for those who lost their lives in the Ankara Massacre.The security footage that was confirmed by the police to be recorded have gone missing after the prosecutor demanded it.     The symbolic monument built in the memory of those who lost their lives on October 10, 2015 ISIS bomb attack in front of the Ankara Train Station was once again assaulted.The last attack was on June 23, after the İstanbul election results were being announced.   An interesting detail was revealed when October 10 Peace and Solidarity Association (10 Ekim-Der) went to the prosecutor's office to file a crimina complaint about the attackers who called themselves National Turkis Students Union (MTTB).October 10 Peace and Solidarity Association (10- October Der) President Mehtap Sakinci Cosgun said that they learned that the police did not give the security footage of the attackers to the prosecutor.   Following the criminal complaint after the attack, the prosecutor sent a letter to the Public Security Bureau of the Ankara Security Security Branch Directorate on 1 November 2018. Coşgun said that the response to the requested security camera images was answered 53 days later.   Coşgun stated that they said in their response that was given 53 days after the attack that the camera archive records go back for 30 days and gets deleted and therefore the video image of the attack is now gone.    Coşgun who stated that they filed a criminal complaint about the last attack on June 23 as well, said: "All we have left is that monument. I don't think there is another country that ignores and neglects pain that much.They can fit everything in Ankara except this monument. We believe that those who do not give an account today will be accountable tomorrow. No matter what they do, they can't upset us any more. They cannot dissuade us from our struggle..     Coşgun also reminded that Ankara Metropolitan Municipality promised that they will build an actual monument in front of the Ankara Train Station 44 months ago, called on to the mayor to build the monument ASAP.
