Father whose daughter on hunger strike for 120 days: We should not remain unresponsive 2019-04-24 10:04:57 İZMİR- Osman Aydın, father of Rahşan Aydın who is on hunger strike for 120 days and put into solitary confinement after the decision about her finalized, said: "This issue will not be resolved by silence. If we remain unresponsive, we will lose. I will raise my voice in every platform possible. "   Rahşan Aydın who is on hunger strike since December 26, 2018 demanding the termination of the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan in Şakran Women's Closed Prison, have left behind day 120 of her hunger strike. Aydın was arrested when she was just 17 and sentenced to life in prison.   21 year old  Rahşan Aydın was put into solitary confinement after the decision about her finalized.     Father Osman Aydın who visited his daughter the other week, stated that although she is on hunger strike for 120 days and her condition worsened, she is being kept alone without a companion, said his daughter lost 13 kilograms and now weighs 42 and currently unable to walk on her own. Father Aydın said: "She has problem seeing, she can not go to the bathroom alone. She turned yellow when I saw her and her body was so cold. If she falls in her cell, there will be noone to intervene. The prison administration applies pressure on them and does not give the necessarry vitamins in the right amount."     Father Aydın who stated that the violations of rights in the prison is exorbitant, said his daughter told him that she can hardly breathe in her cell and wants her friends to be brought back to her cell. Father Aydın who stated that the current government and the Ministry of Justice must take immediate action, said: "If anything ever happens to our children, the government will be responsible.I cried when I visited her, she told me to be strong. She was stronger than me. That's when I understood that we have to be standing up with our children in their resistance. This issue will not be resolved by silence. If we remain unresponsive, we will lose. I will raise my voice in every platform possible. "
