Peace Mothers honoured Sırrı Süreyya Önder several cities 2025-05-04 15:51:44   NEWS CENTER – The Peace Mother honoured Sırrı Süreyya Önder across several cities, highlighting his lifelong commitment to peace. The pledged to carry on his legacy and continue the struggle he dedicated his life to.    The Peace Mother Assembly issued statements in multiple cities in memory of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Deputy Speaker of Parliament and member of the İmralı Delegation from the DEM Party, who recently passed away. In their remarks, they emphasized Önder’s lifelong struggle for peace and vowed to continue his legacy.    In cities such as Mêrdîn (Mardin), Wan (Van), Amed (Diyarbkır), Êlih (Batman), Riha (Urfa), Adana and Mersin, Peace Mothers visited DEM Party offices. They extended their condolences to his family and the Kurdish people, and declared their commitment to the peace cause. “When peace finally arrives, we will visit his grave and say, ‘Your wish has come true,’” they said.    Highlighting Önder’s unwavering dedication to peace, they described him as a “peace envoy” whose efforts must not be in vain. The statements concluded with chants of “Şehîd namirin” ("Martyrs never die").
