Investigation launched against MA regarding news on isolation and Roboski 2021-02-26 13:39:27   İSTANBUL - An investigation was launched against our agency's two news articles titled 'Isolation was protested in Sur' and '109 months passed since Roboski Massacre'.   An investigation was initiated upon the complaint made to the Presidential Notification Center (CIMER) about the news articles of the Mesopotamia Agency (MA) on January 27 with the titles 'Isolation was protested in Sur' and '109 months passed since Roboski Massacre'. The Managing Editor of our Agency, Ferhat Çelik went to the İstanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in Çağlayan to give his statement regarding the complaint.   Underlining that the news articles do not contain any criminal elements, Çelik said: "In accordance with the Press Law, we use our right to report in accordance with the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) case law. The news we have made should be evaluated within the scope of press freedom. These articles in the files do not constitude any crimes."
