
Police operation in Lice, scores detained

	DİYARBAKIR – &nbsp;It was learned that at least 35 people were detained in house raids carried out by soldiers in Lice and rural neighborhoods of Lice.

	The military operation launched on January 9 in the countryside of Çağdaş (Cinezur), Dibek (Derxust), Arıklı (Hiseynik) and Bağlan (Mişref) neighborhoods in Diyarbakır's Lice district continues. On the first day of the operation, 1 soldier lost his life and 3 soldiers were injured in the clash with HPG members.

	In the days following this incident, 8 people were arrested on the charge &nbsp;of "being a member of a terrorist organization".

	&nbsp;

	The military units have raided a large number of homes in the district center and Dibek (Derxust), Budak (Xezmaz) ve Yolçatı (Sise) neighborhoods. While the villages were surrounded by armoured vehicles, houses were raided and stormed and at least 35 citizens were taken into custody.

	&nbsp;

	It was learned that those taken into custody were taken to Lice District Gendermerie Command with armoured vehicles.
