Prisoners on hunger strike battered 2021-01-14 10:32:33   ADANA - Prisoners on hunger strike were battered by the prison guards in Türkoğlu prison. Prisoner Baran Gül, whose arm was dislocated by the police, said, "The fixators in the hands and feet of a friend were broken."   A prisoner in Maraş Türkoğlu No 1 Type L Closed Prison, Baran Gül, told about the violations of rights they are exposed to, to a family member on the phone. Gül told that the ward of the prisoners who are on hunger strike demanding the aggravated isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan was raided by the prison guards and the hunger strikers were battered.   Stating that there are 5 prisoners on hunger strike including himself, said: "We were badly beaten by the prison guards in ward C-5. My arm was dislocated and the fixators in the hands and feet of a friend were broken. We were beaten and threatened."   'THEY HAVE NO LIFE SAFETY'   Baran Gül's brother Mahsun Gül who applied to the Adana Branch of Human's Rights Association said his brother will file a criminal complaint with his attorney. Brother Gül said: "We don't know exactly how they are. We don't know if they were taken to the hospital. But we know that they have no life safety. We demand they are taken to the hospital and their demands to be met. We demand the maltreatment to end."   The prison we tried to call to get information did not answer the phone.
