
Kurdish politicians detained in Şırnak

	ŞIRNAK - 5 people, including HDP district co-chairs, were detained in Şırnak and its districts.

	Home raids were carried out by special operation units in Şırnak, İdil and Silopi. Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) provincial executive Sekvan Kılınç, HDP İdil District Co-chair Nafiye Geçgel, dismissed Provincial General Assembly members Elfesya Nas, Asuman Külter and DTK member Ekrem Şavluk were detained in the operation.

	It was stated that the house of Resul Sadak, a politician residing in Idil, was also raided within the scope of the operation. It was learned that Sadak was not detained because he was not at home.

	&nbsp;

	While it was stated that the number of detentions could increase throughout the city, no information was obtained regarding the reasons for their detention.
