Law suit filed against journalist Yalçın 2020-10-29 12:46:28   DİYARBAKIR - A law suit was filed against journalist Nurcan Yalçınon grounds of her membership to Rosa Women's Association.   Within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Rosa Women's Association, an indictment was prepared against journalist Nurcan Yalçın with the allegation of "being a member of a terrorist organization" and "propagandizing a terrorist organization". The prosecutor demanded a prison sentence for Yalçın on grounds that she is a member of the Rosa Women's Association.   ANONYMOUS WITNESS: I KNOW SHE IS A JOURNALIST   Witness coded “ZS35SN58UV52PG10” testified: "I know that this person is a journalist and works for an agency that propagandizes news about the organization. She also workds for KJA, which was closed down by the government because it serves the organization, TJA and Rosa Women's Association. This person fulfills the instructions of the organization in KJA, TJA and Rosa, and as such serves the organization. I know that she is a manager at the Rosa Women's Association. This person propagandizes the organization through publications close to the organization."   The indictment also included the statements of Yalçın who did not accept the claims of the anonymous witness. According to the indictment, Yalçın has a record in the Social Security Institution as an employee of Jinnews, which Yalçın never worked for.    The prosecutor demanded a prison sentence of 15 to 20 years for Yalçın with the accusation of 'being a member of a terrorist organization' and 'propagandizing a terrorist organization' on grounds that she is a member of the Rosa Women's Association.
