The detention of Co-mayor Bilgen, who undertook many services in a short time after his party won the municipality have caused reactions of the voters who voted from AKP and MHP.   A citizen who said he voted for MHP defined Bilgen's detention as 'unlawfulnes' and said: "I am a nationalist but I am very sorry."   Stating that he is a member of the AKP, Orhan Kurtoğlu said that this is the first time that the city has encountered such a good administration and that they do not consent to the arrest of Bilgen.  Kurtoğlu said: "He is a very good mayor and we are very happy with him. The previous mayors have exploited our city Kars. They are the ones that should be arrested, not Bilgen who made Kars a better city."   Stating that he doesn't vote for HDP, Atakan Bezerk told that Bilgen's detention is a terrible situation.  Bezerk pointed out that a great effort and devotion emerged thanks to the HDP administration and said, “This is not the place for a person who serves the people like this. "Although I haven't voted for him, I am very sad now he is detained."
